Banner Arms

Banner Arms are designed and engineered for flexibility, strength and long life. The arms are 1” diameter, schedule 40 aluminum or steel with ¾” nylon rod insert. The nylon insert length is determined by the banner width. The arm is designed to flex with the wind. All steel parts on the banner arm are powder coated white, black, green, brown or beige. Other colours are available at an additional cost.

Banner Arm Configurations:
(A) Banner arm for octagon lamp standards use a 6” u-bolt
(B) 4” square lamp standards use a square bracket assembly
(C) 3” O.D. poles use a cap and sleeve type of arm that fits over the pole
(D) wood hydro type poles use a bracket with lag bolts
(E) wall mount banner arm for wall mounting comes with slotted ¼”x4”x4” aluminum plate welded to 1” diameter schedule 40 pipe reinforced with gussets and nylon rod
(F) Rotating arm is designed to rotate the banner with the wind. This system is designed for a 3” diameter pole with one banner arm only (all parts are made of non corrosive material). The banner should be made with a sleeve for the 1” banner arm and a sleeve for the 3” pole. The rotating arm is an additional $80.00.
All of the above are the most common banner arm configuration and applications. Should your specifications not meet any of the above configurations, we are able to customize any banner arm for your specific needs.

Banner Specifications:
Most banners will have #3 grommets on the inside edge (header), nylon clips are supplied to secure the banner to the pole. Grommets are not used with rotating arms and on banner poles with no arms (free flying banners). Most Banners use closed sleeves, on banners with open sleeves an acorn finial ($7.95) may be used to cap off and finish the end of the arm.

On banner poles without a lower arm, the preferred banner configuration is by adding a sleeve to fit the over arm and a sleeve to fit around the pole itself (This is for banner poles that hold only one banner). Alternatively, we can add eyelets to the banner to aid in attaching the banner to the pole. This configuration reduces banner wind load by 50%.

Vents should be used to reduce wind load. Please specify the width of banner when ordering (Standard width 2’, 2 ½’, 3’).

Facts and Additional Information

Where more sturdy products are desired, 3/4” stainless steel banding should be used.

Flag Outlet Ltd. sells stainless steel fasteners, nuts, bolts, washers, screws, threaded rod, anchors, u-bolts and mounting clamps for all your installation needs.

We provide innovative solutions for all your anchoring and fastening problems.

Lag bolts can be used with wall mounting brackets and outrigger brackets where wood is the base material.
