Standard External halyards are made up of (1) aluminum pulley, (2) chrome cleat 4.5" or aluminum 9" cleat, (3) superior quality white 1/4" or 5/16" tightly braided multi-filament #10 nylon rope. Standard External Halyard Rope & Cleat

Ball:
  The Stationary ball assemblyholds the flag stationary. One misconception is that a flag will wrap around the pole and tangle. The fact is that wind will change direction but eventually the wind stops and the flag returns to its neutral position. Stationary Ball
The Revolving trucking ball assembly can be used with internal or external halyard systems.
